Kellyn Carni lives in a small town in the mountains near Asheville, North Carolina, with her husband, two tiny humans, dog, cat, and chickens. When she is isn't cuddling one of the aforementioned (usually not the chickens) under a blanket with a good book, she enjoys camping, yoga, and live music.

As a physical therapist assistant, Kellyn works with people managing all sorts of injuries, diseases, and conditions in an outpatient clinic. Before earning her physical therapy degree, she graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in International Politics. She has also worked as a yoga instructor, a server, and an ESL teacher in the Marshall Islands.

While Kellyn has been writing since childhood, Ricochet is her debut novel.

That's my official story, anyway. Here's a secret- I've liked writing since childhood, but I never got serious about it until I started writing Ricochet.

I'm one of those rare birds that somewhat randomly sat down to write a book and just couldn't stop. There was a story to be told, and I'm SO excited to tell it.

The more I dug into the history of the Romanovs, I fell in love with these characters and who I imagined them to be. So, readers, I hope you do too!
